1. Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE) Indian Society for Technical Education is a professional body of educators and administrators in Engineering and Technology, established in 1967. Ministry of Human Resources and Developments and Ministry of Science and Technology guide and support ISTE activities. AICTE and ISTE jointly implement various continuing education programmes in Technical Education. ISTE-MACE is one of the leading chapters in Kerala Section. Students’ chapter of ISTE also is very active in the campus. 9th Annual Convention of ISTE Kerala Section was held at Mar Athanasius College of Engineering, Kothamangalam. ISTE had selected MACE as its best chapter in Kerala two times. ISTE-MACE Chapter regularly organizes programmes like Summer/Winter schools, lectures, workshops and group discussions.
2. IEEE The students of International Electrical and Electronics Engineers in the College fosters among the students an interest in specific areas in the fields of Electrical and Electronic Engineering and gives its members the opportunities to learn the state of the art technologies. The IEEE-MACE Chapter (School code: 32041) was inaugurated in 1988.The chapter has been functioning very actively since then. IEEE conducts Training programmes, classes, seminars, industrial visits, study trips, debates, quizzes, group discussions and workshops regularly. IEEE meet on all Thursdays after the class for one
hour. IEEE library has a collection of journals, books and other educational works. IEEE members are actively participating in various Inter Collegiate technical programmes.
3. SAE – MACE Chapter S.A.E INDIA is a professional engineering society whose membership represents practically every engineering and scientific discipline. The purpose of this organization is to provide its members opportunities to gain broader insight into the engineering profession by sponsoring meeting that will bring practicing engineers to the campus arranging field trips to research and engineering establishments, sponsoring students projects of engineering interest and participating in local S.A.E India section activities. The students of M.A.C.E S.A.E India chapter had successfully organized an automobile exhibition named “Nitrous” at Ernakulam city which marked the beginning of a versatile exhibition different from the usual ones. The students are hopefully looking forward to conduct similar exhibitions every year.
