Widely acknowledged as one of the best libraries in the state, this well-furnished, fully computerized digital library with computer aided search facilities, is at the disposal of the students. The library maintains more than 75000 volumes, which include books, latest periodicals, journals and technical papers to keep the students abreast of the latest advancements and modern trends in various fields of science and technology . The library subscribes to different dailies besides other informative magazines. Students can get the photocopies or softcopies of the study materials for further reference. The library is connected by LAN of campus and the Internet.

Location and Layout
The Central Library is located centrally in the campus adjacent to the main building. The library building has two floors with floor area of 540sqm. The ground floor consists of reading space for about 60 students and separate section for staff. This floor also consists of stack section, the librarians cabin, transaction counter, search facility and digital library. The first floor consists of book stacks and newspaper reading room.
Document Resources
The Library to date has a total collection of 43452 volumes of books, reference books, book CD’s and journal/magazine CD’s. The Library is presently subscribes 68 international and 38 national technical journals as well as many international online E-journals through internet. The Library receives 4 English and 4 Malayalam News papers and 12 magazines which are kept in separate reading room.
Issue of books

Open access is provided to the library users and the books are organized in stacks subject-wise for easy access and quick retrieval. Books are issued to the user through bar-coded identity card scanned in through computer.

- Under-graduate students – 2 books
- Post-graduate students - 4 books
- Reservation students -10 books/semester
- Teaching Faculty - 5 books
- Instructors - 2 books
Library Automation
The library transaction is automated through a software developed by Prof .Thomas George. The software is provided with search facility, reservation facility etc. All books in the library are bar-coded and the transaction is done by scanning the barcode through the computer.
Library Timings
The library is open on all working days except Sundays and General holidays. Monday – Friday 8.30 am – 5.30 pm Saturdays 10.00 am- 3.30 pm

Library Instructions
- Staff and students will be permitted to keep the books with then at a time for a maximum period of 15 working days of the library.
- Students will be permitted to take a maximum of two books at a time.
- Renewal and reservation facilities are available.
- If a book is damaged or lost by a member, he must replace it or pay three times the cost of the book to the librarian .All markings, underlining, annotating etc in any book, manuscript or map belonging to the library are absolutely forbidden.
- Books can be taken for reference from the stack room after entering in the issue register.
- Strict silence should be maintained inside the library.
- Bags and other belongings should not be taken into the library. These should be kept on the shelf placed at the entrance. A note book may be taken inside for the purpose of writing notes.
