MACE Alumni Association

MACE Alumni Association (MACEAA) is an active association with nine chapters – seven abroad and two in India. All the former students, faculty and final year students constitute the alumni. Alumni serves the purpose of fostering the relationship among the past and present students of the institution, inculcating in them a feeling of responsibility towards building up and maintaining the traditions of the institution. Alumni Association takes active interest in overall development of the college by issuing prizes, scholarships, and monetary assistance for renovation.

Nature of alumni events held

• General Body - Every year
• Other meetings - Every month
• Introduced MACE Alumni Scholarship fund.
• Introduced a new Merit cum need scholarship for two first year students 
  (Rs. 6000/ per annum per student by Kuwait chapter)
• Qatar chapter has been sponsoring the complete expense of 3 students.
• Text books given to needy students in each dept.
• Publishing Newsletters & Bulletins.
• Regular family get-togethers of alumni association.
• All the chapters had their annual get together.

Other major activities

• Books donated to the MACE central library- 250 volumes.
• Placement - I.B.S. Computers owned by an Alumnus, recruits students every year.
• Alumni Millennium meet held at Mar Athanasius College of Engineering on 26-1-2000. 
  (700 members participated)
• Documentary - "Sierra Signorina - 2000" funded by Oman Chapter produced by parent Chapter.
• Meeting of MACE chapter held at Abad International, Nedumbassery, Cochin on 
  August 28, 2002.

Extent of alumni involvement in the development of the Institution

• With the new group mail ID (macemates@yahoogroups.com), job opportunities are being informed to the freshers. A lot of students are getting benefits out of it.
• Conducting seminars and talks by Alumni. 
• Contributing for the developmental activities of the Alma mater
