Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department Facilities

Electrical and Electronics Workshop:

It has facilities to train the students in modern wiring practice, testing of installations, PCB manufacturing etc. Floor area –120 m²

Electrical Machines Laboratory:

It is well equipped with all types of AC and DC machines. Various institutions of the state utilize these lab facilities. Floor area – 820 m²

Electrical and Electronics Measurements Lab: All major Electrical and electronic measuring devices and standards are available. Floor area –140 m2

Electronic Circuits Lab:

This lab is equipped to conduct experiments in analog electronic circuits and linear circuits for Electrical and Mechanical students. This lab has Dual Trace CRO’s, signal generators and stabilized power supply along with IC trainer kits.

Digital Circuits Lab: It provides facilities for doing experiments with Digital IC’s like counters, logic circuits, sufficient number of supporting devices like Digital IC trainer kits,CRO’s etc.

Systems Lab: Experiments on microprocessors and interfacing circuits are conducted in this lab. Electrical students are provided with individual 8085 trainer kit, interfacing circuits with stepper motor, motor control and other related works with project work are also entertained in this lab.

Power Electronics Lab: Facilities are provided to do experiments on power semiconductor devices and power control circuits with descrete components and kits are also provided to study the performance of power devices like SCR, DIAC, TRIAC, IGBT and MOSFET. Final year students can utilize the lab for project work in power electronics. Floor area –85 m²

Control and Instrumentation Lab: The lab is equipped with various process control and instrumentation systems.

Computer Programming Lab:

The department has a computer lab exclusively for itself to train the students in various programming languages and software packages.

Department Library

Department Library is fully automated and equipped with 750 titles and 1950 volumes in various disciplines of Electrical and Electronics Engineering. It has a large collection of project and seminar reports prepared by students.
