MACE  proudly hosted the NASA Space Apps Challenge for the fourth consecutive year, joining 2,800 centers across 182 countries for the 40-hour global hackathon. Organized by NASA’s Earth Science Department, the event encourages tech-driven solutions to Earth and space challenges.

Principal’s Message

Established in 1961, our college is one of the only three Government-Aided Engineering colleges in Kerala. At MACE, we try to nurture the young minds, help them to enrich their knowledge and provide wings to their aspirations, train them for real-life experiences, prepare them to face challenges in life, and encourage them to expose their hidden talents to make them competent and confident to suit any work environment. MACE always has a penchant for Quality, which is evident from our faculty’s qualifications and academic contributions, placement records, equipment in our laboratories, library and computing facilities, teaching methodology and evaluation system, and the academic level of our students. We have continually excelled in the university examinations over the past 54 years. Our students have excellent placement opportunities and are employed at the leading companies in India and abroad. We have Alumni chapters in nine countries. Our Alumni have brought us glory in the past and recent years by serving in key positions in several reputed organizations in India and abroad and in the State and Central Governments. Though we have earned a place among one of the best-rated Engineering colleges in Kerala over these years, we believe that there is always room for improvement.

About Us

Legacy of Learning

Mar Athanasius College of Engineering pioneered engineering education in central Kerala in 1961. Managed by Mar Athanasius College Association, Aided by the Government of Kerala, the college was first in Asia under Christian Management. The college is affiliated to APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University. MACE, as it is popularly known, has grown by leaps and bounds since. It now has six full-fledged departments apart from the two auxiliary departments of Mathematics and Science and Humanities.
