About Us

Sprawling over an area of 62 acres of lush green land, Mar Athanasius College of Engineering has five major blocks: Main block/administrative block, Founders Block, M P Varghese Block, Electronics block, and PG and Research Block.

MACE possesses 51 well-equipped classrooms spanning 4700 sq.m providing the ideal teaching and learning atmosphere for both faculty and students. All classrooms are furnished with adequate tables and chairs, ceiling fans and lights, black/green/whiteboards, podium, notice boards, LCD projectors, and Wi-Fi connectivity.

A total of 50 laboratories and 10 workshops are set up in the institution on 8503 sq.m. Along with state-of-the-art equipment and infrastructure for fulfilling the program-specific curriculum of Kerala Technical University, these labs also offer research facilities. IDEA Laboratory is the recent additions to the laboratory facilities of the institution.

The Central Library is housed in a total floor area of 839.5 sq.m in two stories. The library is well stocked with a collection of more than 79852 books under 26013 titles, along with a subscription to 62 international journals and 112 national journals . A well-furnished reading area of 202 sq.m is made available to the users. Keeping pace with the digital era, the library also provides access to e-learning resources in the form of 1662 e-Books and 1799 e-Journals. Users can also avail reprographic facilities provided inside the library.

The campus has multiple venues to host various academic, administrative, sports, and cultural gatherings. The main college auditorium has a capacity to seat 500 audiences on a floor area of 400 sq.m. An open-air theatre is located at the heart of the campus with a platform of 184.54 sq.m and a ground area of 2000 sq.m that can accommodate up to 1500 people. The campus also houses an indoor stadium with a capacity of more than 3000 audiences for conducting cultural and sports events. Apart from the above facilities, there are six aesthetically designed, well-equipped, and air-conditioned seminar halls, where important meetings like international conferences, workshops, and seminars are held.

There are five hostels for male students, with 337 rooms providing accommodation to 570 students. 510 female students are given accommodation in 121 rooms across three ladies’ hostels.
