About National Science Day
National Science Day is celebrated in India on 28 February each year to mark the discovery of the Raman effect by Indian physicist Sir Chandrashekhara Venkata Raman on 28 February 1930. For his discovery, Raman was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1930. National Science Day is being celebrated every year to widely spread a message about the importance of science used in the daily life of the people. It gives an opportunity to discuss the issues, display the activities, efforts and achievements in the field of science for human welfare. Every year this day is celebrated with a focal theme, for the national science day 2025 the focal theme is “Empowering Indian youth for global leadership in Science and innovation for Viksit Bharat”.
The department organized an industrial visit on 24/07/25 to the leading Technology company APTIV Connection Systems India Pvt Ltd, Aarakkunnam specializing in electrified solutions, advanced computing platforms, and vehicle connectivity enhancements.
Talk on lifestyle diseases by Dr. Liza Thomas, Consultant Pediatrician & Adolescent Physician, St. Josephs Dharamagiri Hospital, Kothamangalam
An Electrical Wiring Workshop was conducted by EEE Department under the school service scheme for students of Government High School Pinnavoorkudi.
