ASME Charles T. Main Student Leadership Gold Award instituted in 1925 by the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), is presented annually to one outstanding student leader at the global level. In its 100th year, it is a matter of immense pride that an Indian student has received this award and that student is a MACEian! The award includes a cash prize of $3000, a vermeil gold medal, a certificate and travel support to attend the award ceremony in the USA. MACE honoured with International Green College Award 2025, instituted by Green Mentors at Cornell University, New York, USA.
The University Grants Commission (UGC) granted autonomous status to MACE, effective from the 2023–2024 academic year, for a period of 10 years, in recognition of its academic governance.
Students from Mar Athanasius College of Engineering (MACE), Kothamangalam, Muhammed Zain and Vishnuraj A have made their mark on the international stage by winning the prestigious IEEE R10 Robotics Competition 2024, held at Meiji University Nakano Campus, Tokyo, Japan, in August 2024.
