The award was presented during the 9th NYC Green School Conference 2025, held on September 23-24, 2025, at the ILR School, Cornell University, New York. The global event was part of Climate Week NYC and was convened in partnership with UNESCO-IESALC, UN SDSN, Columbia University’s Climate School, SDG Academy, and HESI of UN DESA. The International Green College Award recognises institutions that excel in ecological stewardship, sustainable campus initiatives, and integrating environmental responsibility into academics. The award was received by Dr. Winny Varghese, Secretary of the M A College Association, in the presence of Dr. Bos Mathew Jos, Principal of Mar Athanasius College of Engineering, and Dr. Manju Kurian, Principal of Mar Athanasius College of Arts.
