Dr. Sera Mathew, Assistant Professor, Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering completed Ph.D. in Control Systems from NIT Calicut, 2025.

• Dr. Thomas P Rajan, Assistant Professor, Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, completed Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from IIT Madras, 2025.
• Prof. Thomas P Rajan received the Prime Minister’s Research Fellowship.
• Prof. Thomas P Rajan received the IEEE Students and Young Professionals Paper Assistance Travel Grant Award.

Prof. Neema S received “Outstanding Student Branch Counselor Award” by IEEE in 2024.

Chapter Advisor Dr. Reenu George received $3360 for IEEE SPS Chapter, as a part of SPS Member Driven Initiatives for the proposal "Future of Signal - Understanding through Innovation and Organized Networks (FUSION).

Dr. Reenu George was the Publishing Chair for the 6th edition of the International Conference on Recent Advances in Intelligent Computational Systems (IEEE RAICS 2024).

Dr. Sija Gopinathan was the TPC Chair for the 6th edition of the International Conference on Recent Advances in Intelligent Computational Systems (IEEE RAICS 2024).

Dr. Veena Mathew presented the paper “Optimization of cantilever beam structures for energy harvesting applications” in International Conference on Electrical, Electronics and Computing Technology which was held in Phuket, Thailand during 22-24 March, 2024.

Dr. Bos Mathew Jos received “Outstanding Teacher Award 2023 ” by IEEE Kerala Section

Prof. Ashna Joseph delivered a technical presentation in the half day workshop on “Empowering women entrepreneurship” organized by VSSC and IISU on 7th March 2024 at Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre, Thiruvananthapuram
Prof. Ashna Joseph secured KTU-CERD Research Seed Money (2023-24) for her project titled “Development of Dual Active Bridge Converter for EV Applications”.

Prof. Meenu Gibi received Indian Patent (No. 554651) for 20 years from 28/12/2022 for “Smart device for predicting the location and optimum intensity of the luminaire”.

STUDENTS ACHIEVEMENTS

Students from Mar Athanasius College of Engineering (MACE), Kothamangalam, Muhammed Zain and Vishnuraj A have made their mark on the international stage by participating in the prestigious IEEE R10 Robotics Competition 2024, held at Meiji University Nakano Campus, Tokyo, Japan, in August 2024 won the 1st Position. Representing IEEE Region 10 (Asia-Pacific), the MACE team showcased exceptional talent, innovation, and problem-solving abilities as they competed alongside the brightest young minds from across the region.

Amritha M (S6EA) and Abhinav Krishna N (S6LB) of Mar Athanasius College of Engineering (MACE), Kothamangalam, have been honored with the prestigious IEEE IAS Humanitarian Award at the IEEE IAS Annual General Meeting 2025, held in Taiwan. This global recognition celebrates their outstanding contributions to humanitarian engineering projects, showcasing how innovation, compassion, and technical expertise can be powerfully combined to address real-world challenges. Their achievement not only highlights the excellence of MACE’s student community but also places our institution firmly on the international map of engineering innovation. Through their dedication and vision, Abhinav and Amritha have made every MACEian proud, serving as shining examples of leadership, empathy, and technical brilliance.

A brilliant team of students from Mar Athanasius College of Engineering (MACE), Kothamangalam, has emerged victorious in the prestigious IEEE IAS-IPCS Engineering Student Chapter Design Competition-South Asia 2025. The team has not only earned regional acclaim but also a well-deserved cash prize of $2000.

Mr. Siyadh M N received “Outstanding Student Humanitarian Volunteer Award 2024” by IEEE Kerala Section.

Nafis Muhib Noushad (Team Captain), Muhammed Zain, Niba Parvin N and Pranav Vinoy secured All India Rank 2 in ASME SDC Robotic Vehicle Design Competition 2024.

Sabaripriya A. secured 6th Rank in APJ Abdulkalam Kerala Technological University B.Tech Electrical and Electronics Engineering (2019-23) by scoring CGPA of 9.83.

Melissa Mary Varghese (2023 -27) won the Innovation Contest on E-Waste recycling organised by IEEE Kerala Chapter.

Jes Gigo and Festin A won the second prize in IEEE PES Quiz conducted at Cochin University of Science and Technology.

Nirmal James and Aby K Baby (2021-25) secured First prize in the Energy Quiz competition organized by KSEB

Amritha M and Abhinav Krishna N won Second prize for "Navudhyam", an ideathon competition conducted by Kerala Startup Mission, ICAR - IISR Kozhikode.
