Candidates for admission to the M.Tech Degree course shall be required to have passed B.Tech/BE Degree in the appropriate branch of Engineering conducted by a recognized Institution or University with a minimum 60% aggregate or equivalent.
M.Tech programme in Structural Engineering and Construction Management (Civil), Power Electronics (Electrical and Electronics), VLSI and Embedded Systems (Electronics & Communication), Thermal Power Engineering (Mechanical), Computer Science and Engineering are under the aided scheme. Out of 18/24 seats in these courses, admissions to 15/20 seats are made from the list prepared by DTE Thiruvananthapuram. The remaining 3/4 seats are filled under the Management quota.
M.Tech programme in Computer Aided Structural Engineering (Civil) is under the self-financing scheme. For admission to the M.Tech self-financing courses, 50% of seats are under the Government merit quota, and the other 50% are under the Management quota. For the 50% Govt. merit seats, the applicants should apply to the DTE Trivandrum (in response to their advertisement in leading dailies); and they will publish a rank list. From the published rank list only, the colleges can admit the students. Therefore, the candidates in the published list can only apply to the college. For this, the eligible candidates can download the application form from the college website, and the filled-up application forms should be sent to the college along with a Demand draft of Rs.500/- in favour of “Principal, Mar Athanasius College of Engineering, Kothamangalam” payable at Kothamangalam.
For the Management seats, admissions are based on a Test and Interview conducted by respective Departments.
- Candidates having GATE scores will get the stipend.
