Faculty Development Programme on Generative AI Tools in Prompt Engineering

As part of the Faculty Development Programme 2024-2025, the Department of Computer Science & Engineering, in association with the Industry Institute Partnership Cell (IIPC) and the Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE) of Mar Athanasius College of Engineering (MACE) Kothamangalam, organized a six-day online FDP on “Generative AI Tools in Prompt Engineering.” The programme was conducted from February 03 to 08, 2025, from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM. The sessions were aimed at equipping academicians, industrialists, and researchers with the knowledge and skills to effectively utilize generative AI tools in teaching and research. The FDP focused on crafting high-quality prompts for AI-generated responses, exploring AI’s potential in education and research, and enhancing student learning through AI-driven tools

This on-site competition required participants to decode, decrypt, solve, and find hidden flags within a limited timeframe. IOT workshop

Department of Computer Science organized an IoT Workshop from 11th February to March 4th, 2025, providing a hands-on learning experience focused on ESP32 microcontrollers, sensors, networking, and IoT applications. It begins with an introduction to IoT and setting up the ESP32 development environment using Arduino IDE. Participants will explore various sensors, including temperature, humidity, and ultrasonic sensors, and learn to display real-time data on LCD screens. The workshop also covers ESP32’s Wi-Fi capabilities, networking concepts, and setting up web servers to control devices remotely. The workshop is handled by Manu Francis ,PSE TeqardLabs and Prince John Joseph , COO TeqardLabs
