Start-up and Incubation Cell

Incubation Cell in Mar Athanasius College of Engineering (MACE), coordinates activities related to incubating student ideas in to start-ups in MACE and drives to achieve excellence in innovation and entrepreneurship among students. Since inception, several start-ups were incubated, and a few like PillsBee have made it big too. The details of all incubated startups are provided along with this report.
Incubation Cell provides facilities like free unlimited internet connectivity, free office space, technical assistance, mentoring, lab facilities to name a few. Policies and guidelines for the smooth functioning of the Incubation cell was formulated during the year 2019. Students aspiring to incubate a start-up in the Incubation cell is to submit a filled application form, which will be analysed by a screening committee before granting/denying permission to applicants. In association with incubation cell, an Idea pitching competition was organized on the 19th of November, 2019. The Idea pitching competition was funded by the Parents Teacher Association of MACE and was attended by thirteen groups from students and funding of 30,000/- was granted to Mr. Manu Francis of an incubated start-up on 10th of January, 2020.
