The American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), established in 1852, represents over 160,000 members across 177 countries, making it the oldest and one of the most influential engineering societies in the world. ASCE leads the engineering profession globally by advancing the science and practice of engineering for the benefit of humanity. The ASCE MACE Student Chapter was officially established on September 3, 2024, and has quickly grown to become the largest student chapter in Mar Athanasius College of Engineering, with over 400 active members . ASCE MACE is committed to foster a collaborative and inclusive space for technical innovation, personal growth, and professional development. ASCE MACE organizes a wide array of activities including technical workshops, expert talks, industry interactions, hands-on sessions, competitions, and more. These programs aim to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world engineering practices. One of the key highlights of the ASCE MACE chapter is its zero membership fee, ensuring that every student, regardless of background, has access to professional growth opportunities. Members also enjoy free access to the ASCE Digital Library, along with opportunities to attend international conferences, certified programs, and global events. Whether you’re looking to build your technical skills, expand your network, or kick-start your professional journey, ASCE MACE provides the tools, support, and opportunities to help you thrive. It’s not just a membership-it’s a launchpad for students to grow into confident, capable, and globally-aware engineers prepared to shape the future.
