Celebrating 35 Years of IEEE MACE SB
The 35th anniversary of the IEEE Student Branch at Mar Athanasius College of Engineering (MACE) celebrated the Branch’s legacy of sustained achievement, innovation, and impact over 35 years. Leaders, faculty, students, and alumni gathered to highlight the Branch’s commitment to advancing technology and community.
Several distinguished dignitaries graced the celebration, each recognized for invaluable contributions to engineering and the IEEE community. Dr. Mini S. Thomas, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology at Jamia Millia Islamia and former Director of NIT Trichy, as well as IEEE MGA Vice Chair for Member Development, attended as the Chief Guest. She inspired attendees with her leadership and vision. Dr. Bos Mathew Jos, Principal of Mar Athanasius College of Engineering, was honored for unwavering support as the guiding force behind the institution and the Student Branch. The event also welcomed Dr. Manoj B. S., Chair of the IEEE Kerala Section, whose leadership has significantly strengthened the IEEE network across Kerala.
Foundational contributors and guiding hands were acknowledged. Prof. Paul Antony, the first Student Branch Counselor, laid the groundwork for today’s accomplishments through his early vision. Eminent professionals from the IEEE Kerala Section-Prof. Muhammed Kasim, Prof. Nandan S, , Prof. Deepthi Sasidharan, and Prof. Deepa A K were recognized for fostering excellence and mentorship.
Past and current leadership, faculty, and advisors were also acknowledged, reflecting the Branch’s culture of appreciation and community.
