Legacy of Learning

Mar Athanasius College of Engineering pioneered engineering education in Central Kerala in 1961. MACE, as it is popularly known, has grown by leaps and bounds since. Managed by the Mar Athanasius College Association, and aided by the Government of Kerala, the college has the distinction of being the first institution in Asia established under Christian management. The institution holds Autonomous status from the UGC and is affiliated to APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University.  It now has six full-fledged departments apart from the two auxiliary departments of Mathematics and Science and Humanities.

The Patron Saint of the institution is His Grace Paulose Mar Athanasius, whose blessings have been instrumental in the great strides taken by the college. We salute the noble and philanthropic founders whose untiring efforts have made Mar Athanasius College of Engineering a renowned centre of knowledge and technological expertise.

Accreditation and Recognition
The History of MACE

The College is established and run by Mar Athanasius College Association, a registered charitable society. Starting with a modest intake of 120 students in Civil, Electrical, and Mechanical Engineering branches in 1961, new disciplines were added later on.
