Students from Mar Athanasius College of Engineering (MACE), Kothamangalam, Muhammed Zain and Vishnuraj A have made their mark on the international stage by winning the prestigious IEEE R10 Robotics Competition 2024, held at Meiji University Nakano Campus, Tokyo, Japan, in August 2024. Representing IEEE Region 10 (Asia-Pacific), the MACE team showcased exceptional talent, innovation, and problem-solving abilities as they competed alongside the brightest young minds from across the region.

The University Grants Commission (UGC) granted autonomous status to MACE, effective from the 2023–2024 academic year, for a period of 10 years, in recognition of its academic governance.
