Gopika Anilkumar Pillai, Student Chair of ASME MACE and a final-year B.Tech Mechanical Engineering student (S8MB) at Mar Athanasius College of Engineering (MACE), Kothamangalam, has been awarded the highly esteemed 2025 ASME Charles T. Main Student Leadership Gold Award. This prestigious international honor recognizes outstanding leadership and exceptional service to the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) by student members across the globe. Gopika’s selection for this award is a proud moment for the entire MACE community and speaks volumes about her dedication, leadership qualities, and commitment to engineering excellence. The award includes a $3,000 cash prize, a Vermeil Gold Medal, and a travel allowance to attend the award presentation ceremony in the USA.

Jerom Palimattom Tom, a student of Mar Athanasius College of Engineering (MACE), Kothamangalam, has brought international acclaim to our institution through his outstanding performance at the IEEE International Conference on Robotics and Automation (ICRA) 2025, held in Atlanta, USA. Jerom was selected to attend this prestigious global event and was also awarded a travel grant of $6000 to participate in next year’s conference as well—an extraordinary honor that reflects both his talent and potential on the world stage. His team’s creative and insightful video proposal for Robotic Standard 2030 was recognized for its futuristic vision and compelling execution, earning accolades from leading experts in the field.

The MACE Inferno team achieved the overall championship at the Formula Car Designing Competition held in Coimbatore. The team, consisting of 30 students led by K.S. Krishnapriya, secured first place in multiple categories, including acceleration, endurance, autocross, and best design, as well as the overall championship.

Abhinav Krishna N (S6LB) and Amritha M (S6EA) of Mar Athanasius College of Engineering (MACE), Kothamangalam, have been honored with the prestigious IEEE IAS Humanitarian Award at the IEEE IAS Annual General Meeting 2025, held in Taiwan.
