Programmes to create awareness about code of conduct followed by the institution

FDP on “Art of Effective teaching” focuses on the morals, values and ethical code of conduct that a faculty must uphold and follow. The sessions in the FDP facilitate the faculty to renew and reform their practices in alignment with the values of the institution.

A talk and interaction session with HR Heads of MRF, L&T ECC and TCS was held on 18-7- 2017. The focus of the talk was on how to maximize performance in work environment and the significance of upholding the professional ethics and code of conduct. The sessions were interesting, lively and thought provoking.

Workshop on Professional Ethics and Teaching Effectiveness held from 30-7-2018 to 1-8- 2018. The purpose of the training was to emphasize on the importance of Professional Ethics in teaching effectiveness. The session also included dynamics of the trainee trainer relationship in an educational environment and importance of following the Code of Conduct.

As part of the orientation programme for technical and office staff, Adv. Charly Paul interacted with the staff of MACE on 5-9-2016. Mr. Charly is a professional trainee who engages the audience surprisingly well and ensures that the crowd makes the best out of his presence. The focus of the session was Professional Ethics and Code of Conduct. The importance of Code of Conduct and human values in Professional life were the prime topic of discussion.

An orientation programme on Employment and Quality Improvement Programme was conducted on 20-6-2017. The quality of professional life and satisfaction in terms of the job you are doing was targeted. The focus of discussion was how following the Code of Conduct and upholding the institutional values help in building your career and improving the quality of performance.

First year Faculty Advisors coordinate the Student Induction Programme (SIP) for new students every year before the commencement of academic activities. This programme contains sessions on career guidance and scope after engineering. The SIP with the help of in-house faculties and experts from outside helps the students to feel at ease with the new academic environment and make them aware about the institutional practices. The code of conduct to be followed in the institution is communicated to students with emphasis on professional ethics. Sessions focus on motivating students on the basis of morals and human values that the institution upholds.

The second edition of TEDxMACE, conducted on 19/1/2018, was under the theme “free fall into life”. The conference saw the participation of speakers such as Dr. Jacob Thomas, IPS officer and former Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau director, Mrs. Uma Subramanian, social entrepreneur and founder of Aarambh India. Their talks imparted lessons on human values, ethics and the role of a strong character as well as code of ethics in professional life.
