Faculty Achievements

  • Dr. Bos Mathew Jos was recognized with the IEEE MGA Outstanding Branch Chapter advisor award for 2022.
  • Prof. Deena George was recognized with the IEEE MGA Outstanding Branch Counsellor award for 2022.
  • Dr. Jisha Kuruvilla, Associate Professor, EEE Department, completed her Ph.D. from Government Engineering College, Thrissur.
  • Dr. Reenu George, Assistant Professor, EEE Department, was awarded Ph.D. from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras.
  • Prof. Deena George received the Outstanding Branch Counsellor Award, IEEE Kerala Section.

Student Achievements

  • Mr.Amal and Mr. Ananthakrishnan of S4EA won first prize, and Mr. Cyril and Mr. Sankaranarayanan of S4EB won third prize in ‘TEQUIZ’ organized by the EEE association in June 2022
  • Mr. Sujeeth B and Mr. John Raju, and Merin Mary Joshy won first runner-up in ‘IEEE Yesist 12’, International Conference at Bengaluru under WePower track in September 2022
  • Athira R of final year was selected for the “National Youth Summit” at Puri, Odisha under Prime Minister’s Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, and she is one among the six youth representatives from Kerala and the only KTU representative.
  • During this period, 32 companies visited our campus, hiring around 74 students from 118 students in their final year with the highest salary package of 12 lakhs per annum.

2020-2021

Faculty Achievements

  • Prof. Deena George received the Outstanding Branch Counsellor Award, IEEE Kochi Subsection.
  • SWAYAM NPTEL has recognized Mar Athanasius College of Engineering with a rating of “A” based on the performance in various NPTEL online certification courses.

Student Achievements

  • Athira R has been selected as the NSS representative of Kerala for the National Republic Day Parade 2021, and she grabbed third prize in Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Commemorate Document Presentation Competition.
  • Arjun M Nair of the final year topped in NPTEL online certification course.
  • Jithin Jose of final year was selected as one of the top two percent of all the successful candidates who graduated in 2020.
  • Team EVHACK082 consisting of Ria Maria Mathew, Jaison Christal Jothi, Dona Joy, and Akash Philip K secured the first position in Bosch - IEEE Electric Vehicle Hackathon organized by IEEE IA/IE/PELS Jt. Kerala Chapter in association with Robert Bosch Engineering and Business Solutions Pvt. Ltd.
  • Team EVHACK008 consisting of Abhishek Mohan, Adwaith S, Alfia Subair, and Anto Jose secured the second position in Bosch - IEEE Electric Vehicle Hackathon organized by IEEE IA/IE/PELS Jt. Kerala Chapter in association with Robert Bosch Engineering and Business Solutions Pvt. Ltd.
  • Muhammad Zain secured first prize in Circuitron, a 24-hour circuit designing competition organized by IEEE IAS SBC RIT, and secured second prize in Vaiga- Agrihack 2021 (Kerala’s largest agricultural hackathon conducted) by Govt. of Kerala Agricultural Department. 
  • Dona Joy and Nivya Dileep secured first prize in Enovus 2021 project Expo conducted by IEDC, CET.
  • Dona Joy and Nivya Dileep secured second prize in Auxilia Idea Pitching conducted by CET.
  • Melbin Saji grabbed second prize in the IEEE Dash O' Crash circuit designing competition.
