Knowledge in basic science is an essential ingredient of any professional course. The design and development of any engineering system relies on understanding the fundamentals of basic sciences. Science explores the phenomena of nature and attempts to find the laws that govern them while engineering attempts to use the laws of nature, that are already known, to replicate them in situations leading to usable end results. Basic principles are obtained from Science while engineering students will learn to apply these principles to design creative solutions to Engineering challenges. Technology is an integrated outcome of science, mathematics, engineering, management and economic principles pertaining to the phenomena of choice.
The Department of science and humanities aims to fulfill this function most efficiently. Physics, Chemistry, Geology, Economics and Physical education are all handled by individual faculties, who are highly qualified and professionally competent in their respective fields. All the faculty members are highly dedicated to their work and are always willing to carry out any responsibility that may be entrusted to them.
