All Indians are proud of the Chandrayaan-3 Lunar Mission which successfully soft-landed the lunar module Vikram lander and the Pragyan rover that forms part of it, on the moon on 23.08.2023. The entire project was successfully planned and operated by the brilliant scientists of ISRO. Fifty-five of these distinguished scientists including the Director of VSSC, Dr. S. Unnikrishnan Nair are alumni of Mar Athanasius College of Engineering. They studied in our college during the period from 1985 to 2017. The college stands very high among all the technological institutions in the country having contributed significantly to the glory of the nation in the development of Space Science. This is a matter of great joy and pride for us.
Mar Athanasius College Association honored these distinguished alumni in a function which was held on 16.09.2023 in the Indoor Stadium on our campus. Hon'ble Justice Devan Ramachandran, Judge, High Court of Kerala, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest in the blessed presence of H.G. Mathews Mor Aphrem Metropolitan, M A College Association Chairman and presided by Dr. Winny Varghese, M A College Association Secretary. The event was a memorable one for the entire MACE family.
