All staff and students are members of the college Central Library.
A college ID Card is essential for all library services, and users should swipe their ID Cards at the entry.
The library will remain open from 8.30 am. to 6.00 pm. on all working days. On Saturdays, it opens from 9.00 am to 3.00 pm, and on vacation from 9.00 am to 4.00 pm.
Strict silence should be maintained inside the library.
Personal belongings like textbooks, umbrellas, and bags are not allowed into the library. It may be kept on the property counter. Users can carry laptops and notebooks for their study purpose.
Books or any other records of the Reference Section will not be lent out.
The borrower of a book has to point out to the circulation staff any defect the book may already have at the time of the borrowing. Otherwise, it will be deemed that the book was intact when issued. The borrower will be responsible for any damage caused to a book while in his/her custody.
If a book is damaged or lost by a member, he/she will have to replace it or pay three times the cost of the book, including postage, to the librarian.
Each UG student member will be given two books and PG student four books at a time. The date on which the book is due will be noted on a label inside the book.
The loan period is usually 15 days, after which a fine of Rs. 1/- per day per book will be levied. Users can renew the document if that document does not have any reservations.
Members can reserve books by logging into their accounts if they are already issued.
Books in demand/reservation may not be renewed.
Members are responsible for books issued against their names.
Computers in the library should be used for academic purposes only.
The library shall not be responsible for any loss or damage of the users' personal belongings at the property counter.
Activities of the users will be under the surveillance of cameras in the library.
